2020 TLB Los Olivos District

A great year for our Boudreaux varieties which soaked in all the heat of the vintage, the 2020 TLB is among the finest of our releases. Deep and rich with aromas and flavors of mocha, spice, black currants, chocolate, blackberry, and a touch of tobacco leaf, the 2020 is complex and backed by fine acidity and tannins that frame and focus the flavors on the very long finish. A TLB that is drinking great upon release and should age for 20+ years.

The 2020 TLB Estate Cuvee is based on 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah, all from the Thomas and Judith Beckmen Estate Vineyard. It may be the star of the Bordeaux variety releases and has wonderful currant and blackberry fruit, medium to full body, ripe tannins, and terrific aromatics of graphite, chocolate, and leafy tobacco. It’s balanced, opulent, and sexy, with a great finish.

The 2020 Red Wine TLB is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. It’s a blend that works quite well. Super-ripe dark red cherry, plum, mocha, new leather, dried herbs and incense build into the explosive, opulent finish. The TLB is another rich, heady wine from Steve Beckmen. Drinking Window 2024 — 2033.
