2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

2020 is a dramatically different Cabernet vintage than we have experienced in several years, and the Estate Cabernet is already plush and inviting, with sturdy tannins acting as a reminder of its youth. Welcoming aromas of cedar, leather, dried herbs, and raspberry jam flow into flavors of dark fruits, pomegranate, and pie cherry. The lively tannins are well-integrated and leave traces of cocoa powder and toasted sage on the palate. Drink from 2023-2045.

    The 2020 Caber­net Sauvi­gnon Los Olivos Dis­trict emerges from the bet­ter por­tions of the site. It offers up copi­ous dark fruit, choco­late, leather, men­thol, cloves, incense and a kick of sweet French oak. This full throt­tle Caber­net deliv­ers the goods, big time.     The 2020 Caber­net Sauvi­gnon Estate is also ter­rif­ic, with a slight­ly more straight­for­ward style in its ripe black fruit, leafy herbs, bay leaf, and cedar pen­cil aro­mas and fla­vors. Beau­ti­ful­ly tex­tured, medi­um-bod­ied, and nice­ly con­cen­trat­ed, with ripe tan­nins, it too will evolve for upwards of two decades.
