Every Fall, we open the cel­lar doors and offer some­thing few Amer­i­can winer­ies do: a chance to step behind the cur­tain and become part of our wine­mak­ing jour­ney — before the wine is even bottled.

Futures at Beck­men is an inti­mate tast­ing expe­ri­ence inspired by the cen­turies-old French tra­di­tion of en primeur. Whether you join us in per­son or explore the wines from home, Futures is designed to be a relaxed, wel­com­ing, and engag­ing experience.

The Tradition of En Primeur

In Bor­deaux, en primeur began as a way for col­lec­tors and mer­chants to taste and pur­chase wine while it was still aging in bar­rel — long before release. It’s a prac­tice built on trust, con­nec­tion and a shared belief in the future of a great wine. At Beck­men, we’ve brought that tra­di­tion to Cal­i­for­nia, offer­ing our most devot­ed sup­port­ers ear­ly access to some of our most lim­it­ed, small-lot bot­tlings — many of which are nev­er avail­able to the public.

The 2025 Lineup

This year’s Futures release includes six hand­craft­ed, small-pro­duc­tion wines cho­sen for their com­plex­i­ty, struc­ture and poten­tial for aging. You’ll taste stand­out Syrahs, a bold and lay­ered TLB, and wines from the most expres­sive blocks of our Purisi­ma Moun­tain Vine­yard — avail­able in extreme­ly lim­it­ed quan­ti­ties. How It Works

Part One: Taste the Wines
Choose how you want to experience the lineup

• With the Wine­mak­er at the Estate: Join us for a guid­ed bar­rel tast­ing with Steve Beck­men on Sat­ur­days at 11am in Octo­ber or book a qui­eter week­day appointment.
• From Home: Order a $75 (ship­ping includ­ed) Futures Tast­ing Kit with six 50ml bar­rel sam­ples and Steve’s tast­ing notes. Join an option­al vir­tu­al tast­ing with Jeff Beck­men for a more inter­ac­tive experience.

• By-Appoint­ment Futures Tast­ing: Reserve a spot in the Tast­ing Room for a guid­ed tast­ing of this year’s Futures lineup.

Part Two: Pre-Order Your Favorites

• Sub­mit your pre-order between August 11 – Novem­ber 15, 2025
• 3‑bottle min­i­mum pre-order per wine, exclud­ing magnums
• Ground ship­ping includ­ed on 12+ bot­tles — a mag­num counts as 2 bot­tles towards shipping

• Tast­ing fee refund­ed with each 12-bot­tle pre-order (two tast­ings refund­ed with a 24-bot­tle pre-order) — mag­num counts as 2 bottles

Part Three: Receive Your Wines Over Time
Your wines will be bottled and released in stages between this fall and next spring.

• You’ll be charged only as each wine becomes available.
• Exam­ple: If you pre-order TLB, you’ll be billed in Jan­u­ary 2026 when it’s released.
