Join Steve Beck­men for a guid­ed hike through San­ta Bar­bara County’s first cer­ti­fied Bio­dy­nam­ic vine­yard and one of the largest Bio­dy­nam­ic estates in Cal­i­for­nia. With this year’s weath­er pat­terns bring­ing har­vest ear­li­er than we’ve seen in recent years, we’ll explore the vine­yard in the heart of har­vest and as gold­en hour set­tles over Purisi­ma Moun­tain—with ripe fruit on the vines, crews mov­ing through the vine­yard and the ener­gy of the sea­son all around us.

Along the way, Steve will share what he’s see­ing in the vine­yard this year and how weath­er, grow­ing con­di­tions and har­vest tim­ing shape each vin­tage. Learn how deci­sions about when to pick are made block by block, how the sea­son influ­ences ripeness, acid­i­ty and fla­vor, and how those choic­es ulti­mate­ly car­ry through into the wines in your glass.

Fol­low­ing the hike, enjoy wines from Purisi­ma Moun­tain Vine­yard as the sun begins to set, with Steve shar­ing more about farm­ing, har­vest and the land behind each bottle.
