2021 PMV Grenache Libre: Once again a blend of Block 1 and Block 8 Grenache, the 2021 shows great richness and depth yet remains beautifully elegant. Our most Châteauneuf like Grenache in the portfolio, the Libre expresses the beautiful Grenache fruit and structure of Block 8 combined with the youthful power of Block 1. Black raspberry, strawberry, grenadine, garrigue, cured meats, and ample white peppery spice aromas and flavors are long and complex in the 2021 Libre. As usual, the wine has great structure with firm yet rounded tannins that carry the bold flavors on the finish. This wine should age gracefully for the next 15+ years.
2021 PMV Syrah: Syrah stars in the 2021 vintage where the cool conditions and late ripening help to support and lift the complex aromas and flavors of this vintage. Dark fruits, game, dark chocolate, mineral, and pepper are found throughout the aromas and flavors of the vintage. The mouth is round and elegant with plenty of density and great structure that will help the wine age beautifully for the next couple of decades.
2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: Rich and intense, the 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon displays lifted aromas of red and blue fruits, chocolate, sage, and earth. The lift carries through on the palate with more intense red and blue fruits, chocolate, bay leaf, and dried herbs flavors that are framed nicely by the tannins and acidity that carry the flavors on the very long finish. Definitely young and in need of some short-term cellaring, the 2021 will drink beautifully from 2025-2040.
