2017 Fall Wine Releases
Posted: Nov 21, 2017
Once a quarter, we release four new wines. The wines are first released to our Wine Club members at a discounted rate, and then to the general public the following season at the full price. Sharing our wines for the first time after the years of hard work and dedication is exciting, and we hope you enjoy drinking them as much as we enjoyed crafting them!
We are honored to announce our fall wine release of 2017:
2016 Santa Ynez Valley Sauvignon Blanc
A Happy Canyon AVA and Ballard Canyon AVA blend of 100% Sauvignon Blanc, this tank fermented wine is crisp, clean, and delicious. Tropical and citrus aromas define the aromatics with bright acidity and mineral flavors highlighting the palate. Not often released to the Wine Club, we enjoy this wine so much we wanted to share it with you! Drink now through 2022. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
2016 Santa Ynez Valley Grenache
Bright red fruits and spices jump out of the glass of the 2016 Santa Ynez Valley Grenache. A blend of grapes from Purisima Mountain Vineyard Block A #3 and the Winery Estate Vineyard, the wine combines the structure of Purisima Mountain with the flesh of the Winery Estate. Pure, rich, and delicious, this wine perfect for the Thanksgiving Day table. Drink now through 2023. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
2016 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Block Eight Grenache
Block 8 Grenache is back on track in 2016, an overall terrific vintage for Grenache, with explosive aromas and flavors of Bing cherry, strawberry, grenadine, and spices. Full, rich, and round with the trademark note of acidity which keeps the wine lively, fresh and pure, the 2016 is my favorite vintage in the past few years of his wine. Drink now through 2025. 2015 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Syrah Block Six
Saving the best for last, the final release of the 2015 red wines is the Block Six Syrah. Coming from perhaps the finest Syrah vintage ever at Beckmen and on Purisima Mountain, the 2015 is loaded with rich, complex Syrah flavors and aromas. The impeccable balance of the 2015 Syrah wines sets these wines apart from previous vintages. Rich and ample in flavor, yet balanced and elegant, the 2015 Block Six is outstanding and one of the greatest Syrah wines we have produced. Drink 2018 through 2032.
