2018 Fall Wine Releases

We release four new wines every a quar­ter. The wines are first shared with our Wine Club mem­bers, and then avail­able to the gen­er­al pub­lic the fol­low­ing quar­ter. Shar­ing our wines for the first time after the years of hard work and ded­i­ca­tion is excit­ing, and we hope you enjoy drink­ing them as much as we enjoyed craft­ing them! These are the four wines we released in Novem­ber 2018:

2017 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Viognier

Fresh and live­ly, the 2017 Viog­nier has very bright, com­plex aro­mas and fla­vors of jas­mine, hon­ey­suck­le, mint, stone fruits, and cit­rus. Aged in 75% stain­less steel and 25% sea­soned French oak, the wine is fun, pure and live­ly on the palate with great tex­ture and a long, lin­ger­ing fin­ish. Drink it now and over the next sev­er­al years.

2016 Cuvee le Bec

An incred­i­ble Cuvee le Bec vin­tage craft­ed with 46% Grenache, 39% Syrah, 8% Mourve­dre, and 7% Counoise, the blend con­tin­ues to lean heav­i­ly on Grenache com­pared to pre­vi­ous Syrah-dom­i­nate vin­tages. Dark cher­ry, earth, licorice, and pep­pery spice jump from the glass in this rich and racy vin­tage of Cuvee le Bec. A lit­tle rich­er than the pre­vi­ous vin­tage, the added weight cre­ates a dense and seam­less wine filled with blue and black fruits, vio­lets, and pep­per. A nice mouth­feel and fine tan­nins car­ry­ing the fla­vors through the long finish.

2017 Estate Grenache

The first vin­tage of the 2017 Estate Grenache is sourced from the old block of Grenache, plant­ed back in 1995, on the win­ery Estate Vine­yard. The wine is loaded with aro­ma, fla­vor, and incred­i­ble tex­ture. Red and blue fruits, licorice, pep­pery spice, and grilled herbs high­light this big, pow­er­ful wine with a smooth, vel­vety tex­ture and an extreme­ly long fin­ish. The release of this wine, on its own, is long over­due! Drink­ing great now and over the next 8 – 10 years.

2016 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Block Six Syrah

Bold and com­plex aro­mat­ics are filled with min­er­als and lay­ers of white flow­ers, pep­per, plum, and black­ber­ry. The palate is plush and creamy with more plum and black­ber­ry fruits accen­tu­at­ed by hints of choco­late and spice. As usu­al, Purisi­ma Moun­tain min­er­al­i­ty runs through­out this gor­geous vin­tage of Block Six. Drink upon release for 15+ years.
