2018 Spring Wine Releases
Posted: Apr 26, 2018
Once a quarter, we release four new wines. The wines are first released to our Wine Club members at a discounted rate, and then to the general public the following season at the full price. Sharing our wines for the first time after the years of hard work and dedication is exciting, and we hope you enjoy drinking them as much as we enjoyed crafting them!
We are honored to announce our 2018 spring wine releases:
2017 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Grenache Blanc
Apple, tangerine, Meyer lemon, and white pepper aromas and flavors are expressed throughout the 2017 PMV Grenache Blanc vintage. Generous texture and juicy acidity create a beautiful dichotomy that plays out across the palate and brings great balance to this complex wine. Drink 2018 – 2025. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
2016 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Grenache
Complex flavors and aromas of black raspberry, plum, pomegranate, cherry, brown sugar, baker’s spice, dried cranberry, and pepper highlight the 2016 vintage. The wine reminds me of the great 2001, 2003, 2007 and 2013 PMV Grenache vintages and is in line to be among the finest we have ever produced. Crafted with 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah. Drink 2018 – 2035. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
2016 Barrel Select Cuvee
Ripe blackberries, plum, game, spice and earth highlight the aromas of this Cuvee. Smooth, round, and generous, the mouth is filled with flavors of fruit cake, pepper, blackberry, game, and earth that are complex with a long finish, fine tannins, and balanced acidity. Crafted with 50% Mourvedre, 29% Syrah, and 21% Grenache. Drink 2018 – 2040. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
2016 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Syrah
Dark chocolate, plum, blackberry, vanilla, black pepper, grilled meats, and game are hallmarks of Purisima Mountain Syrah and the 2016 is loaded with them! Big and powerful, yet elegant and complex, the 2016 is an incredible vintage of PMV Syrah. Drink 2018 – 2038. Download Technical Winemaking Notes
