2019 Purisima Red Wine Ballard Canyon

Only produced in exceptional vintages, Purisima Red Wine is our smallest production wine and the greatest representation of the Purisima Mountain Vineyard. The 2019 Purisima Red is just the 12th release of this wine with its components being sourced from the best barrels of Clone 1 and Block Six Syrah. This vintage is aged for 30 months in 100% new French oak. This massive Syrah is loaded with raspberry, plum, Asian Spices, pepper, blackberry, mocha, and mineral aromas and flavors. On the palate, the wine is full, rich, and well integrated with a smooth, round mouthfeel, fine tannins, and beautiful acidity that carry the complex flavors on the explosive finish. Capable of aging for 25+ years, this memorable vintage of the Purisima Red shows class and distinction that are the hallmark of great wines.
